Today's a palindromic date, the first
Since October 2 in 2001.
Eleven more will come, somewhat dispersed
Throughout this century. It's only fun
For number nerds like me, I might suppose,
But there are more of those than I once thought
As Twitter daily proves. Just one of those
Fun quirks, it is, the calendar has got.
And only by American format
Comes this: 01022010.
Go back and forth until your brain goes splat
If you've a mind -- you haven't far to go
If you're like me, distracted, somewhat tired,
Yet nontheless charmed and somewhat inspired.
