Daytripper: In Which A Comic Makes Me Cry

I almost missed Daytripper, and must praise
My good friend P.J., comic pusher, who
Knows me so well, directing my wild gaze
Towards this most wondrous work. I cannot do
It justice in these lines, this trip through one
Small, lovely life. This writer, Bras, learns just
How precious it all is before it's done,
But being human as we all are, must
Repeat this lesson often. Issue Eight
Shows us a Bras-shaped hole and teaches how
He tries his best to fill it, though his fate
Might not allow it. Ba and Moon are now
Both in my bad books, causing me to cry,
And in my estimation, very high.

In Which My Comic Book Guy, @PJiv69, Ages Gracefully

Some guys just bring the squee at first sight; they
Have what you want and know you want it bad,
Know they have got the pow'r to make your day
And that you'll leave their presence feeling glad.
I speak not of my drug pusher, although
They share characteristics, those and he
Who waits for me on Wednesdays. P.J., oh,
How glad I am you're there and do for me
All that you do in seeing I get my fix
At Heroes Only, comic books and more.
Today's your birthday; here's hoping that Six
Or Starbuck make appearance at the store!
But if they don't, please know you have my love
E'en though you've stashed my drawer high above!

To Be A Way-Station For Friends On The Road Is Another Great Reason To Be A Homeowner!

Another reason that I love my pad
Occurred this week. I had a house guest, who
Is not related to me. I was glad
To put up an old friend, just passing through.
He stayed for just one night. We dined and talked;
And reminisced on old pals. It was good.
He met a newer friend of mine; we walked
Our silly dogs through my new neighborhood
And in the morning, much to my delight
He tuned up Deep Blue so he's at his best
For summer rides (Deep Blue is my dear bike),
Then said good-bye and left for the Midwest,
His destination Brooklyn and beyond.
Farewell, dear Adam, of whom I am fond.
